 "Cargotec divests partly its welding operation in Raisio to HT Laser Oy 

Cargotec has published on 1.2.2012 a press release saying:

"Cargotec has signed an agreement with HT Laser Oy, Finland, to divest partly its welding and machining operations in the Raisio factory in Finland. 

The parties have agreed not to disclose the value of the agreed transaction, which is expected to be effective March 1, 2012. 

The number of employees at the welding and machining department concerned is 12 people. They will be transferred to HT Laser Oy, which will continue to run the operations on existing premises in Raisio. 

The transaction supports Cargotec’s approach to focus on its core activities in production that include assembly and logistics. Cargotec continues as a key customer to HT Laser Oy. 

“HT Laser Oy is already one of Cargotec’s preferred suppliers and meets our requirements for suppliers. By deepening this relationship with an already recognised partner we secure our future supply of components,” says Mika Selänne, Vice President, Load Handling, Supply.
