Water jet
Water jet cutting is applicable on all materials. No thermal changes or tensions are caused in the cut part. Cutting sensitive materials and narrow necks, sharp corners and large perforated areas is feasible.
Depending on the hardness of the material the cutting is done by water only or together with an abrasive ( sand and water ).
Sheet cutting
Equipment • 2D work stations
2D work area max. • 4000 x 13000 mm • Number of cutting nozzles 2 -- 4 pieces
Material thickness • hard materials up to 70 mm • soft materials up to 200 mm
Shape cutting
3D robot work area • 1000 x 1000 x 1000 mm • 6 axis
Material thickness • hard materials up to 70 mm • soft materials up to 200 mm
Examples on materials
Metals • stone • ceramic materials • composite materials • plastics • rubber • glass • wood
Advantages offered by water jet cutting
Because the method is not thermal there are no thermal alterations caused in the structure of the material. It is not necessary to machine the cut surfaces and the parts are ready for assembly as such. It is possible to choose the quality of the cut surfaces according tho the need by adjusting the cutting speed. Water jet cutting can also be applied to shaped parts and to bewelling and to cutting holes in steel beams.
